I purchased this for my 1974 beetle. I have a trouble free drive. The starting sound is lower than other OE ones that I have used. My earlier Bosch that was 50+ years old was giving me starting trouble. This one is excellent and also light weight. I can go under the car and hold it in one hand. I love the new starter.
